Questions designers ask

01Is it worth paying for coded templates?+

Yes — with a caveat. Free assets are great for learning, but they often come with generic aesthetics and zero support. Premium coded templates (around $68 in this collection) save you days of work and come from designers who've already solved the hard problems. If a project is client-facing or revenue-generating, the math almost always works in your favor.

02What should I look for before buying a coded template?+

Three things separate a good purchase from a regretful one: (1) Depth — does it cover edge cases, dark mode and responsive states? (2) Update history — is it actively maintained or abandoned after launch? (3) The source — curated marketplaces like Framer tend to have a higher quality bar than open ones. Check all three on the product page before you buy.

03Can I use coded templates in client projects?+

Almost always, but read the license. Most coded templates include a standard commercial license that covers unlimited client projects. It gets complicated with extended licenses (reselling the asset itself) or SaaS products built directly on the template. When in doubt, the product page will specify.
